Position: Project Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager
Dept: Project Management

Summary: BIM Designs, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to help with office and project support.

General Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist and setup all control logs (RFIs, Change Orders, Schedule) using Asana, Google Sheets, Trello
  • Assist the project administrator with weekly completion percentages for billing.
  • Assist with updating, maintaining, and distributing documents to field and subcontractors 
  • Attend and prepare for weekly/bi-weekly coordination meetings
  • Communicate project needs to the detailers
  • Communicate the daily, weekly and monthly tasks required to meet project milestones to the project CAD team.
  • Ensure that the change order logs are kept up to date and that change orders are executed in a timely manner.
  • Help communicate detailer needs to the client
  • Interpreting contract documents using Bluebeam
  • Maintain project files including but not limited to daily model updates, distribution of current MEP models, and maintain current set of contract documents
  • Manage projects schedule and deliverable dates
  • Model review (AutoCAD, Revit, Navis)
  • Prepare and maintain submittal logs  
  • QA/QC Deliverables prior to distributing to client
  • Review and understand the project contract in its entirety, especially the special conditions and or any special requirements.
  • Review and understand the project estimate.
  • RFI review and tracking
  • Site inspection and liaising with trade contractors 
  • Strong understanding of RFI’s, submittals, and interpreting blueprints/specifications/shop drawings.
  • Upload/Download of drawings to/from, internal/external sources
  • Viewpoint review of projects using Navisworks
  • Responsible for the financial success of the project

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree related to the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction or equivalent technical training or prior work experience in the building industry
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
  • 2+ Years of Coordinating BIM Projects either as a General Contractor or Subcontractor
  • 1+ Years of Project Field Experience as a Project Engineer, Superintendent, Installer, etc.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak effectively before guests and associates of the organization
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Physical Demands:

  • May be required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Occasionally required to sit for extended periods also stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Required to frequently reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly required to talk or hear
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job to include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
