BIM Designs was responsible for the furnishing of CAD resources to facilitate 3D model population and spatial coordination of plumbing systems, including hangers, shop drawings and equipment layout drawings.

On December 7, 2018, HonorHealth broke ground on its sixth hospital at Interstate 17 and Dove Valley Road in north Phoenix. The three-story, 210,000-square-foot HonorHealth Sonoran Medical Center will be built on the campus that currently houses the Sonoran Health and Emergency Center.

The site will include an inpatient hospital, ambulatory surgery center and outpatient center to meet the growing health and wellness needs of north Phoenix and Anthem residents. Once complete, the new Medical Center will feature an inpatient hospital offering 40 beds, with the ability to expand to nearly 80 beds, based on the needs of the community.

Chris Nickle, executive vice president of McCarthy Building Companies Southwest region, remarked of the hospital, “Thanks to our intensive IPD collaboration with the owner, designer and construction team, we’ve been able to provide creative and highly effective solutions that address logistical, functional and cost-related challenges and are ensuring that the community will be well-served for many years.”

When it opens as scheduled in September 2020, the HonorHealth Sonoran Medical Center will represent an investment of $170 million.
