Meet the Team

    Gibran V.

    Gibran V.

Gibran joined the team at BIM Designs as a VDC Journeyman Detailer in the Plumbing division, where he reviews backgrounds and models provided by contractors, and details them for use in the construction of plumbing systems. Vigil is relatively new to the field, having been a plumber out of Local Union U.A. 469 for six years, but has embraced virtual design with both ambition and efficiency. Spending time in the field before jumping into the virtual space, he utilizes his hands-on expertise in his role at BIM Designs. His goal is to provide shop and installation drawings that the construction teams can efficiently utilize for fabrication and installation. Prior to his work in the plumbing industry, Vigil received an associate’s degree in Information Technology, and worked as a logistics assistant for a semiconductor company. He jokes that, with a background in IT, he’s the go-to guy when it comes to computers and refers to himself as the BIM Designs “help desk” — which is a huge advantage to the team. Vigil is proud of his leap from IT to the plumbing industry; and, in his short but robust career, has worked on a variety of project-types, including Hospitals, Pharmaceuticals, Semiconductors, General Commercial Construction, and Universities. In his free time, Vigil is an artistic welder, creating sculptures out of a weld shop he created in his home. With a passion for technology and construction, Vigil has flourished in his new team environment, always taking the time to learn and share with those around him.
