The great collaboration between the trade contractor, Bel-Aire Mechancial, and BIM Designs was highlighted in this blog article by SMACNA - Arizona.

The expansion is set to open to the public on February 19, 2020. The new casino will have approximately 2,000 employees, 1,300 of them being in new positions.

Elements of the expansion include:

  • The 1.4 million-square-foot resort, which is the second phase of a multi-phased project; construction of this phase began in November of 2017
  • A 4,000-ton central utility plant
  • A 440,000-square-foot casino that includes live table games, slot machines, bingo and poker rooms, restaurants, bars, retail shops, and valet parking services
  • Two 5-story parking structures
  • A 60,000-square-foot Executive Office Building

Elton Begay, police chief for the Tohono O'odham Police Department, described the new casino as a "beautiful facility," and he expressed gratitude to the past leaders who helped the renovation get as far as it has come.
