    Brian B.

VDC JOURNEYMAN DETAILER, SHEET METAL DIVISION

Following an impressive 31 years of experience in the sheet metal industry, Brian Burlbaugh joined BIM Designs and works with Sheet Metal division, ensuring that virtual designs are functional before construction begins. Burlbaugh started in the sheet metal industry right out of high school and has worked across the trade during his long career. He’s a member of S.M.A.R.T. Local 359, and has completed field work, worked in test and balance of air and hydronic systems, and spent last 12 years as the superintendent for the sheet metal shop at Dynamic Systems Inc. Burlbaugh’s work didn’t just stop at managing the shop, however, as his penchant for teamwork led him to branch out, working with the estimating and BIM departments in his former role. Consistently offering support in resolving difficult clashes in models, Burlbaugh is a true standout and team player. During his apprenticeship, he even hosted study sessions to help his peers who struggled with math. That passion for helping others is an asset to both this team and the clients he serves. His current role as a VDC Journeyman Detailer was a natural progression of his career, and Burlbaugh isn’t afraid to learn and sharpen his skills; he’s even been part of two teams that have won innovation awards for design. In his downtime, Burlbaugh loves to spend time outdoors, exploring the local trails and mountains ranges. Whether it’s on the trails or working with a team, he’s always striving to climb higher and move forward.
