Position: BIM Coordinator
Reports to: General Contractor

Summary:

BIM Designs, Inc. is seeking a BIM coordinator to organize and run coordination meeting for large scale building projects.

General Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing share site that all trades can share files and project information.
• Leading trade BIM coordination meetings
• Building a BIM coordination schedule
• Building combined Navis 3D models of all trades
• Running clash reports for all trades and assist in clash resolution by assigning viewpoints for detailers to reference while clearing clashes.
• Scheduling meetings
• Enforcing operating procedures for all trades
• Record keeping
• RFI creation, review, and tracking
• Managing software licenses
• Attending and preparing for weekly/bi-weekly coordination meetings
• Interpreting contract documents
• Managing project schedules and deliverable dates
• Model review (AutoCAD, Revit, Navis)
• Preparing and maintaining submittal logs.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or trade school certificate related to the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction or equivalent technical training or prior work experience in the building industry.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
• 2+ Years of Coordinating BIM Projects either as a General Contractor or Subcontractor
• 1+ Years of Project Field Experience as a Project Engineer, Superintendent, Installer, etc.
• Navis, Autocad, Revit, BIM 360

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before guests and associates of the organization.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Physical Demands:

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Occasionally required to sit for extended periods.
• Required to frequently reach with hands and arms.
