Banner University Medical Center Tucson: Level 9 and 3 Tenant Improvement

BIM Designs, Inc. detailed the Mechanical Piping and Plumbing system for this project. The new medical tower replaced an aging portion of the existing hospital and was planned with four large base levels of 100,000 square feet each and five floors of nursing units above. It includes 22 operating rooms and more than 45 imaging and interventional rooms, as well as a new main entrance that connects to the existing building and the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson.

The new tower opened on April 22, 2019. About 100 patients from the trauma and medical ICUs were transitioned into spacious new ICU rooms inside the tower.

University Mechanical and Engineering Contractors, Inc. explains that they have the benefit of  mechanical systems design/build and BIM (Building Information Modeling) expertise in order to apply a range of specialized techniques and procedures that can help end-users, owners, general contractors, and architects achieve substantial benefits before construction begins.
